THE GREAT HUNTING

With a surface area of 102,000 hectares, the large-scale hunting area is largely composed of shrub savannahs, a few rocks, salt marshes, ponds, water points and water springs throughout the year, year. The northwest part of the area is bounded by hills commonly known as the ATACORA chain. There are a variety of wildlife: Lions, buffaloes with herds of more than 100 heads, Hippotragues (KOBA), majors of West Africa, fassa cobs, buffalo cobs , Reed-cobs, harnessed bushes, grimm duikers, red-faced duikers, urebis, warthogs, baboons, patas, vervets, not to mention the strong presence of parchidems. It is a hunting that is practiced only in tracking in the presence of a professional hunting guide and a team of tracker and porters. It requires good physical condition and good hunting equipment.

THE SMALL HUNTING

It takes place in village hunting areas in the songs of corn, sorghots and cotton. The past of turtledoves and gangas are practiced near the water points in the evenings at sunset. We encounter francolins (partridges), guinea fowl, turtle doves, green pigeons, pigeons, gangas etc. It is practiced in the south-west of the hunting area in the fields of crops. To reach the small hunting camp, it is necessary to cross the hunting zone from north to south, which allows the hunters of small game to meet during this crossing, buffalos, elephants and all kinds of antelope etc .

SAFARI VISION

It is practiced in the park W and that of the pendjari. In the two parks, outside the classic circuits where one can see the animals, there is the possibility of visiting the falls of KOUDOU in the W and those of TANOUGOU in the PENDJARI. One can visit the local markets of Banikoara, Kandi, cotton ginneries and others.
